Event Management Presentation

Overview

Mystic Summit is an event management challenge where all first-year students of SRM Valliammai Engineering College present the events they plan to conduct during the academic year.

Students must pitch their event idea clearly, professionally, and convincingly, showing that their event is ready to launch, both in concept and execution.

The Task

Each team will deliver a short, high-impact presentation explaining the event they intend to organise. Presentations must include:

  • A clear event concept and theme.
  • Step-by-step execution plan.
  • Complete instructions to participants.
  • Resource, logistics, and feasibility details.
  • Technology integration: PPT, video, website, forms.

Required Deliverables

Each team must submit the following components as part of their presentation:

PowerPoint Presentation
PPT

A structured PowerPoint Presentation outlining the event in detail.

Promo Video
30–60 sec

A short teaser introducing the event’s theme and appeal.

Event Brochure
One-page

Includes event details, rules, schedule, and contact info.

Web Portal
Website + Form

Simple event page with a working registration form.

These materials should together form a complete event blueprint.

Judging Metrics

Teams will be assessed on the effectiveness of their presentation using the following parameters:

Clarity of Concept Is the idea easily understandable?
Feasibility Can it be executed realistically?
Creativity Is the idea original and engaging?
Communication Is the pitch clear and confident?
Use of Technology Effective use of PPT, video, website?
Team Coordination Roles and contribution clarity.

Outcome

By the end of the first event of Mystic Summit, first-year students will have transformed their ideas into fully-developed event plans that are practical, engaging, and ready for execution.

This activity strengthens planning, communication, teamwork, creativity, and real-world problem-solving skills.
